This Ruger manufactured second variation receiver is for the model 44 semi-auto carbine in 44 Magnum caliber which uses the first or second variation trigger guard assembly. This receiver is in very good condition retaining most of its original blue finish with light wear. One of the receiver plug screws for scope mounting is present and slightly mishappen which will require a gunsmith to remove if you want to mount a scope. Receivers are the only part on the model 44 carbine that is tracked as a firearm therefore it will need to be transferred through a dealer. Receivers do not qualify as a C&R based on BATFE's guide lines.  (file photo)
